With Democrats in control of the Executive and Legislative branches of government, experts expect an effort towards changes in the current tax system. Join John Duane and Stephen Shimony of Bank of America Private Bank, as they review which items may be up for discussion, when this may take place, and in what ways in particular this may impact family business owners. The discussion will focus not on a prediction of the details of future legislation, but rather a forecast of what could be accomplished from a tax perspective in the months and years ahead.

Speakers:

John Duane is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Melville, New York. As the leader of a client’s Private Bank team, John coordinates the delivery of strategies and services tailored to each client’s specific wealth management goals. He surrounds clients with experienced team members, including a Relationship Manager, Portfolio Manager, Trust Officer, and other specialists.

Stephen Shimony is a Managing Director and Wealth Strategies Advisor for the Long Island team of Bank of America Private Bank. In his role, he offers high net worth clients cash flow and lifestyle planning, trust, gift and estate tax planning, charitable giving strategies, retirement planning, risk management, business succession, concentrated stock management and asset preservation strategies.
